Launched in 2007, the FOTON-M3 satellite is an unmanned spacecraft, but one special faction traveled to expose it to ultraviolet light as well as solar wind, which is a very low-oxygen environment, and to see how safe it would be.  When they are sent into space, ordinary animals and dehydrated animals are sent here, where they are exposed to ultraviolet light and solar wind with vacuum conditions and brought back to Earth.  When they are re-examined, they stop most of their metabolic activity and, although in a cryptobiotic state, soon resume normal activity in large numbers of dehydrated and some dehydrated animals.  This is considered to be a further confirmation of the ability of this omnivorous creature to cope with adverse conditions in all extreme environmental conditions on Earth.

 These are called toadgrades, and they bear a resemblance to the first arthropods in evolution.  Most of these eight-legged creatures are smaller than 1mm in size and are also known as "water bears" because of their resemblance to bears.
 1. They are found in every environment on the surface of the earth.
 2. Minutes can be safe in an environment of 151 Celsius.
 3. Can withstand temperatures down to -20 degrees Celsius.
 4. Can be stored for several days at a temperature of -200 Celsius.
 5. At temperatures close to zero (1K) can be preserved for several minutes.
 ** Thus they are thermophile as well as cryophile animals.
 6. Toadgrades can withstand vacuum conditions as well as high pressures such as 1200 times atmospheric pressure.
 7. They can stay in waterless environments for decades and use anhydrobiosis process there.
 8. Excessive radiation exposure can be very harmful to other organisms.  They can be exposed to x1000 times as much radiation as other animals.
 9. This is the organism that saved life in very low pressure conditions in space.
 10. They are protected against chemobiosis (a kind of cryptobiosis) when there are too many harmful chemicals.
 As a result, the Tadigrades' ability to prepare humans for adverse environmental conditions is being closely tested.  Although it has been speculated that they may have been alien creatures due to their amazing abilities, it has now been established that they originated on Earth.
